General Information

  • For private individuals: The Distance Contracts Act and the Consumer Purchase Act apply. These laws are strict, meaning they take precedence over any agreements made, even if you have agreed to something different.
  • For businesses (including sole traders): The Sales Act applies, which is discretionary, meaning that agreements between businesses take precedence over the law.
  • We comply with the Personal Data Act (PUL).

When a private individual registers and places an order, they consent to us storing and using their personal information to fulfill our obligations toward them. We protect your information according to PUL, and you have the right to access and delete your data upon request.

If any condition is found to be invalid under Swedish or EU law, it will not invalidate the entire terms and conditions. Instead, the invalid term will be replaced with a legally equivalent term.


Package Damages

If you discover damage to the package, you must immediately report it to the carrier and file a damage claim. Do not accept a damaged package. If you discover the damage after opening the package and it appears to be due to the carrier’s handling, you must contact them and file a damage claim within 48 hours. If the issue cannot be resolved with the carrier, contact us.

Take pictures of both the outside and inside of the damaged item and send them to info@alenristudio.com. If you receive a delivery to your home and notice visible damage to the packaging, you must note the damage on the delivery slip and give it to the driver.


Orders

  • If you’re under 18, you must have parental consent. Such consent can be provided by having a parent send explicit approval via email.
  • Any fraudulent orders are tracked and reported to the police. If we incur financial losses, we will seek compensation.

Payment and Delivery

  • When you add items to your cart and proceed to checkout, it will be clear which payment method applies, whether prices include or exclude VAT, and which VAT rate is applicable.
  • Delivery will be made 5-7 business days unless otherwise specified.
  • Shipping costs may be added to the price and will be shown at checkout.
  • We reserve the right to remove out-of-stock items from your order with a corresponding price reduction.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that the address you provide is correct.

Unclaimed Shipments

It is your responsibility to pick up the shipment from the designated pickup point within the time specified on the notice. If you fail to collect your package, it will be returned to us, and we may charge you a reasonable fee for shipping and administrative costs. Unpaid fees will be sent to collections.


Order Modifications

You can modify your order for in-stock items until the order has been processed. If the modification is approved, any price differences will be adjusted based on the price at the time of the modification.


Cancellation

  • Orders can only be canceled after you notify us in writing. You can cancel your order without cost until it has been processed (i.e., when the invoice or shipping document has been created).
  • After this time, you are obligated to accept the delivery if the order is for your business.
  • Private individuals have a right of withdrawal as described under “Right of Withdrawal.”
  • Businesses that cancel custom-made items must pay compensation for costs incurred up until the cancellation and any lost profits.

Right of Withdrawal

As a private individual, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days under the Distance Contracts Act. You do not have the right of withdrawal for items made to your specifications or with a clear personal touch.

  • The withdrawal period starts when you receive the item. If you ordered multiple items or a product with several parts, the period starts when you receive the last item or part.
  • To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must return the product unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging.
  • Return shipping costs are your responsibility, and you may have to pay for depreciation if the product was handled more than necessary to ascertain its features.
  • After receiving the returned item, we will refund the purchase price within 14 days.

Complaints and Returns

If you receive a damaged product or the wrong item, you must notify us of the issue as soon as possible, and no later than 2 months after discovering or having been able to discover the fault.

  • If you are a business, you should notify us immediately after receiving the item.
  • You must return the damaged or incorrect item in its original packaging using the same carrier as when it was received.
  • If we cannot send a replacement item promptly, we will refund the return shipping and the amount you paid for the damaged or incorrect item.
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs, and if the item is damaged or lost during return shipping, you will be liable. Be sure to keep the shipping number.

Force Majeure

Both parties are exempt from fulfilling the agreement if its performance is hindered or made more difficult by circumstances beyond their control, such as fire, war, mobilization, requisition, seizure, currency restrictions, supply shortages, strikes, power outages, or other similar events.


Disputes

  • Private individuals can use the Swedish National Board for Consumer Complaints (ARN) for dispute resolution. We follow ARN’s recommendations.
  • Disputes between businesses are settled by public courts.

Offers and Discounts

  • Not all offers can be combined unless specified, such as free shipping offers.

Abandoned Cart

If your purchase is abandoned, we will send you a reminder email with the items still in your cart. You can then decide whether to complete the purchase or not.
